I got my hair cut. I am now sporting a cute short doo, and just last weekend I was the very first customer in my salon to receive the formaldehyde-free keratin straightening treatment. I'd post some pictures, but I have terrible acne. Ever since I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant, I have had to change up my diet & I've been breaking out as a result. Since we're on that subject, not only am I becoming more food conscious, I've become a bit more picky about the products that I use such on my face and body, such as lipstick, chap stick, lip gloss, and balm or anything that I could potentially ingest. I've even switched to a gluten free shampoo and conditioner. Why would I need to use a gluten free shampoo and conditioner? Well,
The Celiac Diva puts it best...
"The reason I use gluten free shampoo & conditioner is that it’s really easy to accidentally swallow it while I’m singing at the top of my lungs in a hot shower…oh please, don’t act like you at least don’t hum or something. When it comes to kids, I would absolutely use gluten free topical products, those cutie pies seem to put everything in their mouths. And then of course, many people react topically to gluten, so gluten free shampoo and conditioner is a must."
She has a great
list of shampoos and conditioners if you are interested, & I highly recommend her blog to anyone who has celiac's disease or a gluten intolerance.
This is the stuff that I use:

You can purchase it here:

With the keratin treatment you have to use a sulfate free shampoo. Not only is it gluten free, it also does not contain: parabens, sulfates, and phthalate.
